GMA Week - Post #3

Monday - I have been a bit distracted from the normal pace of meetings that I have during GMA Week because of the string of concerts that we have coming up next week. While feverishly checking in with my office in Colorado via phone & email, I did manage to make it to the first showcase lunch of the week hosted by the William Morris Agency. While many of the artists on their roster performed in the small ballroom of the Hilton, the stand-out performance was from none other than Wynonna. If you don't know her, she is a legendary country artist who is becoming much more open about her faith journey. She walked on the stage & you knew that owned the room. It was a special moment that became even more special as she gave her own touch to the Foreigner song "I Want To Know What Love Is". WOW! She followed it up with "How Great Thou Art". It gave me chills! Of all the years I have attended these lunch showcases, the only other time that I was this captivated was when a then unknown band named Leeland took the stage a few years ago. Maybe I will find the chance to add Wynonna to an event one day as her gift & faith need to be shared.

Meanwhile, I am slated to be here until Wednesday but might catch a flight out tomorrow. I have so many things in my office that need attention right now, it makes more sense for me to head home since I am a bit distracted and not as focused as I should be to be most effective here in Nashville.
